DESCRIPTION This is the Ultimate M-5Z Tuned Engine with Ceramic Bearings. The M-5Z engine is a 5 port engine, long-stroke, tuned crankshaft and has been configured for all those drivers who look for a powerful and linear engine with good power at both low and high R.P.M. It stands out an oversized cooling head to improve performance at high temperatures and it is easy to tune. The Ultimate M-5Z makes excellent bottom end power, and is an excellent choice for 1/8 buggies and trucks This engine includes a R7 conrod made from super light aluminum and designed to create the least amount of turbulence inside the engine. The sleeve has 5 transfer ports to create a linear power output and to keep fuel consumption low. The tuned crankshaft is manufactured with a larger bore intake to increase the mixture flow, and has a special shape to optimize gas-flow in the engine. The two needle, slide valve, nylon body carburetor features a standard design that allows the use of interchangeable venturi's to tune for any track condition. The Ultimate M-5Z engine with ceramic bearings have been tested and approved by the Modelix team drivers and their feedback has been more than positive and promising. The Front Engine Bearing is a rubber sealed Ceramic “Super Speed Series” or “3S” from Ultimate Racing. This bearing is designed to fit the Ultimate M-4R, M-5 and M-8 engines, and will also fit any other .21 competition buggy engine that uses the same bearing dimensions, such as some Novarossi, O.S, RB, etc (in fact most .21 or higher engines use this front bearing). The bearing dimensions are 7mm inner, 19mm outer and 6mm thick. This bearing is sealed to stop fuel leaking out the front of the engine during use and to avoid dirt getting into the engine. The Rear Engine Bearing is a Ceramic “Super Speed Series” or “3S” from Ultimate Racing. This bearing is designed to fit the Ultimate M-5 and M-8 engines, and will also fit any other .21 competition buggy engine that uses the same bearing dimensions, (in fact most .21 or higher engines use this rear bearing). The bearing dimensions are 14mm inner, 25.8mm outer and 6mm thick. This bearing should be installed so that the balls face the rear of the engine (towards the backplate), in order to allow proper lubrication.
